In February 1992, with only 50 minutes of a fan film called Star Crackers: The Sphere of Influence created, Browne and Yeager and friends, Cantrell and Buffkin, started something for legends.
Browne created five additional episodes of the story, with plans to make a series based on their pilot, but it never caught on.
He continued writing more 'episodes' until there were dozens of them into 1998, and all were compiled into books.
Then by 2005, Browne, Yeager and Cantrell returned to complete the film, while working as Kal Kat and Marx Cards on another series, Trans Tech, and also penned Prospectors, a sequel series, of which part became another novel.
In 2011, final voice over shots were added and Star Crackers the 90 minute fan film finally appeared in 2012 in several parts, and in 2014 completed, on Kal Kat show channels on YouTube.
Star Crackers languished since then, but those book volumes were not forgotten and were made ready for publication, but the name needed to be changed.
Just days ago, Browne and Yeager put up the new title, Space Vanguards USV and the ebooks online on Amazon! You can now buy them!
The three books will be detailed at a later time, but they are about The Sphere of Influence and other stories. Prospectors is also there!
Not bad for a quirky fan film.

Browne and Yeager choose title Space Vanguards launch in May 2019
Star Crackers now has a new title, Space Vanguards, and will be part of a two part story, and a third Prospectors story, set for May 2019!
Kal Kat will interview Browne, ha, on the launch day of the story, set for next month in time for convention month.
